Dr Carolyn Eddleston

Traditional Chinese Medicine & Somatic Healing

Founder of Cycles of Change

Cycles of Change - Traditional Chinese Medicine and trauma-informed bodywork

Dr Carolyn Eddleston originally trained and worked as an NHS GP for over 25 years. During her years in conventional practice, she observed the strengths of Western medicine—particularly in acute and emergency care—but also recognised its limitations, especially when it came to chronic, complex, or unexplained health issues. Many patients were left without satisfying answers or effective long-term support.

While living in New Zealand, Carolyn undertook a three-year, full-time Diploma in Acupuncture. The training was a turning point—reshaping her understanding of health, illness, and healing. Traditional Chinese Medicine offered a holistic framework that made sense of the mind-body patterns she had long observed in her patients.

Dr Carolyn now works exclusively focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine. She utilises a deeply integrative mindset, drawing on her medical background while using acupuncture and Chinese medical principles to support patients in restoring balance and resilience.

The Cycles of Change team can support clients through a broad range of integrative therapies, including:

  • Acupuncture

  • Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage)

  • Cupping therapy

  • Qi Gong

  • Chinese herbal medicine

  • Trauma-informed somatic therapy

  • Chi Gong

Whether you’re recovering from chronic illness, navigating emotional trauma, or seeking preventive support, these therapies can complement your medical care to address root causes from multiple dimensions.
