Our services

Wherever you are in your health journey, we are here to help you find answers.

Step 1

Free discovery call

To make getting started as seamless as possible, we offer all new patients the opportunity to speak with Dr Hana before booking a full consultation. This allows you to ask any questions about our approach and services, ensuring that our care aligns with your needs. She can also advise on the type of appointment that would be appropriate for your requirements. If you don’t see a suitable appointment time available, please reach out via our contact form—we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Step 2

Initial appointment

The process includes 30 minutes of preparation time for the doctor to review your intake forms and any uploaded documents, followed by 60-90 minutes together to assess your health, create a plan, initiate testing, and begin treatment if needed. The doctor will then spend 30 minutes writing a detailed report and treatment plan, along with arranging any necessary tests or medications. Written communication with your GP will occur with your consent, and any testing or medications will incur additional costs based on your needs.

Step 3

Follow up consultation

Your journey to better health doesn’t end after your initial consultation. Follow-up appointments allow us to track your progress, refine your plan, and provide ongoing support as your body responds to treatment. We’ll assess any changes, review test results, and make necessary adjustments to ensure you’re on the right path. These sessions are also an opportunity to ask questions and discuss any new concerns, so you always feel supported and empowered in your health journey.

Gut Health from a Functional Medicine Perspective

Bloating, constipation, reflux, food intolerances, IBS, diarrhoea, abdominal pain — gut symptoms are incredibly common, but they’re not normal. At Healixa Health, we believe the gut holds the key to understanding many chronic health issues — from skin problems and fatigue to hormonal imbalance, mood disorders, and even ADHD.

Using a functional medicine approach, we don’t just treat digestive symptoms — we investigate why they’re happening. Our goal is to restore balance, improve digestion, and support the gut so it can do what it’s designed to do: nourish, protect, and communicate with the rest of your body.

Why Gut Health Matters

Your gut isn’t just a tube that processes food — it’s a central part of your immune system, hormone regulation, mental health, and inflammation response. When the gut is out of balance, it can lead to a wide range of issues, including:

◦ IBS and IBD (Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis)

◦ Food sensitivities and intolerances

◦ Bloating, gas, reflux, constipation or diarrhoea

◦ Brain fog, fatigue, low mood, and anxiety

◦ Skin conditions like acne, eczema, or rosacea

◦ Autoimmune disease or chronic inflammation

◦ Hormonal imbalances and poor detoxification

Through careful case-taking, testing, and personalised support, we work to restore the integrity of the gut lining, rebalance the microbiome, and reduce inflammation.

A Root-Cause Approach to Gut Healing

Your gut symptoms are not all in your head — and you deserve more than a lifetime of antacids, laxatives, or elimination diets. At Healixa Health, we help you understand your gut, heal from the inside out, and build long-term resilience so you can eat, move, and live with more ease.

Functional Testing for Gut Health

We use advanced gut testing to go beyond what’s available through standard routes. These may include:

◦ GI360 or Comprehensive Stool Analysis – to assess your microbiome diversity, digestion, inflammation, and presence of pathogens or parasites

◦ Zonulin and Leaky Gut Markers – to evaluate intestinal permeability

◦ Calprotectin, Secretory IgA and other immune markers – to understand inflammatory and immune activity in the gut

◦ Organic Acids Test (OAT) – to assess microbial overgrowth, yeast, clostridia species, and short-chain fatty acid production

◦ Food Sensitivity Testing – to identify immune reactions to specific foods

◦ SIBO Breath Testing – where symptoms suggest small intestinal bacterial overgrowth

These tests help us build a clear picture of what’s really going on in your gut — so we can treat the root cause, not just suppress the symptoms.

Personalised Treatment for Digestive Health

Once we’ve assessed your history, mapped your health timeline, and reviewed your test results, we’ll create a tailored plan that may include:

◦ An anti-inflammatory or low-reactivity nutrition plan

◦ Targeted probiotics, antimicrobials, or digestive enzymes

◦ Gut-healing nutrients to support the lining and immune system

◦ Detoxification support for the liver and lymphatic system

◦ Nervous system regulation tools (because the gut and brain are deeply connected)

◦ Breathwork or stress reduction tools to calm the gut-brain axis
